Jean-Luc Van Den Heede is a renowned French sailor with an illustrious career in solo ocean racing. He has rounded Cape Horn twelve times and completed six solo circumnavigations, achieving five race podiums and setting a world record for the fastest west-about circumnavigation against prevailing winds and currents. His victories include podium finishes in the Vendée Globe and a win in the 2018/19 Golden Globe Race.
