About the Author
Christopher Lavers is a Lecturer in Marine Engineering and has taught Maritime and Remote Sensing topics at the University of Plymouth at Britannia Royal Naval College since 1993. He has published over 200 technical articles, curated a dozen science-art exhibitions, and written two books with more forthcoming. A member of the Institute of Physics Environmental Physics Committee, he is also Convenor of the Special Interest Group in Conservation and Indigenous Communities of the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society. He is the Subject Matter Expert in Radar and Telecommunications at Britannia Royal Naval College, and has made several appearances on BBC Radio 4, Radio Devon and Plymouth Sound.
