Essential Engine Troubleshooting
Splash-proof quick reference for keeping your marine diesel running when you need it most.
A compact, handy, on-the-water reference guide containing all the essential information about keeping your marine diesel engine running for when you need it most: the perfect quick reference guide to keep onboard. The book covers the parts of the engine and has checklists for monthly, weekly and daily checks. It outlines what to do if the engine won't start, or stop, if it overheats or there are problems with the fuel system. It tells you about servicing, the electrics and winterisation. Splash-proof and spiral bound – allowing you to lay it out flat beside your engine – this little book stands up to frequent use and will be a valued companion when the engine doesn't behave.
Praise for Diesel Companion
"Excellent."

About the Author
Pat Manley was a keen sailor, and must have had one of the most "self-equipped" boats afloat. He was a technical contributor to Practical Boat Owner magazine, a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation and an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor.
About Fernhurst Books
Fernhurst Books was founded in 1979, initially publishing books related to dinghy racing. The list soon expanded to include cruising and other watersports. In 2006 the business was sold to John Wiley, but in 2013 a group of sailing enthusiasts (including the original founder) bought the list and name back, once again creating an independent nautical publisher owned and run by sailors. Fernhurst continues to publish books that instruct, inform and inspire those with a passion on, in or under the water. Their 140+ titles range from how-to guides to narrative to coffee-table books, covering sailing, surfing, canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, swimming, diving and fishing.
