About the Author

Nick Ford is an amateur historian with a lifelong fascination with the supernatural, folklore and the enduring romance of Britain’s inland waterways. This is his fourth book – and his first true labour of love. He lives in Shropshire, within easy reach of the River Severn and the Shropshire Union, Llangollen and Montgomery canals.

About the Illustrator

Jeremy Ford is a professional artist and illustrator based in West Yorkshire. He has written instructional books on watercolour, pastel and gouache painting, contributed to numerous art publications, and teaches painting workshops throughout the UK.
