50 cloud cards with the Met Office

Photo on the front, identification and weather notes on the back

The Cloud Deck is an illustrated, practical guide to 50 cloud formations. Produced in association with the Met Office and written by Richard Hamblyn, this boxed card deck helps you understand the ever-changing world above us. Each card has cloud photography on the front, with descriptions and identification tips on the reverse.

The "cloud finder" tool included in the box lets you quickly isolate and identify any cloud you spot, and a 16-page booklet gives the background knowledge to get started.

The cards are grouped by type, such as low clouds and accessory clouds. The reverse of each sets out the cloud's specification, its appearance and how it forms, and what it means for the weather to come.

Inside the box
  • 50 cards showing cloud formations, with detailed information on each
  • Cloud photography for easy identification
  • A cloud finder for use outdoors
  • A 16-page introductory booklet
