Reach for the Stars with Confidence

An affordable and accurate sextant for celestial navigation

The Celestaire Astra IIIB Deluxe is a full-function marine sextant for celestial navigation, with an aluminium alloy frame, a micrometer drum and a 3.5x40 telescope. It is a mid-sized instrument, lighter than a full-size professional sextant, and suits offshore sailors, Yachtmaster Ocean candidates and anyone learning astro navigation.

It is available with a whole horizon mirror or a traditional split horizon mirror. A whole horizon mirror shows the horizon across the full width of the glass, which makes it easier to bring a body down to the horizon, particularly on a moving deck. A split mirror gives a brighter reflected image, which some navigators prefer for star sights at twilight.
