Watch the Trend

Brass aneroid barometer with a 4⅞-inch dial

An aneroid barometer from Weems & Plath's Endurance 125 range: a 4⅞-inch (124 mm) dial in a solid brass case 6 inches (152 mm) across and 1⅝ inches (41 mm) deep. The movement is temperature compensated and adjustable, with scales in inches and millibars, and calibrated for use up to 3,500 feet.

The brass has a maintenance-free, ultra-hard finish that Weems & Plath guarantees never to tarnish, and an O-ring behind the glass makes it weatherproof. It hangs on Weems & Plath's patented Slide-n-Lock mount, with no screws showing. It matches the other instruments in the Endurance 125 range: the barometer, the clock, the time and tide clock and the comfortmeter. Lifetime warranty on the finish and the movement.

Reading a barometer

Note the reading every few hours: the trend matters more than the figure. A fall of more than 3 millibars in three hours often means wind on the way.
