5-inch square Douglas protractor

A 5-inch (13 cm) square protractor, sometimes called a Douglas protractor, for plotting courses and bearings quickly where space is tight. Transparent plastic with a matt surface that takes pencil, so you can mark on it as you work. Limited lifetime warranty.

How to use a square protractor

Put the centre on your position, line the grid up with a meridian or parallel on the chart, and read or mark the bearing on the scale round the edge. Then draw the line from the centre along a straight edge.
