Nine Baltic Countries in One Volume
Country overviews and selected harbours across nine Baltic countries, with smaller harbours in detail where other information is scarce.
An overview of the Baltic Sea and its approaches from the west for cruising sailors, edited by Andy Beharrell. Much of the text has been rewritten since the last edition, and the photographs and plans have been updated throughout.
The nine countries around the Baltic have thousands of harbours and many anchorages. The book gives a selection chosen for use at the planning stage and on arrival: a general overview of each country followed by harbour information.
Where detailed cruising information is readily available (Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Finland), only selected harbours are covered, chosen with a few exceptions for meeting particular needs. Where it is more limited (Poland, Kaliningrad, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Russia), many smaller harbours are also covered in detail.
About the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation
Imray has worked with the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation since 1985. The Foundation is a charity that collects and researches pilotage, navigation and weather information for small boats, including for remote areas where other sources are scarce. Imray turns its material into books, drawing the cartography itself, often where there is little official survey data.
About Imray
Imray has published nautical information for recreational and professional mariners since the mid-18th century. It is now part of FB Imray, a joint venture with the Austrian cartographers freytag & berndt, and is recognised by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency as a chart producer.
