Southeast Asia’s Main Cruising Routes

Second edition covering the most frequented routes and stops, with the popular anchorages summarised in tables and advice on provisioning.

Volume II of the Southeast Asia Cruising Guide is in its second edition, the first of the two volumes to reach one. The guide covers a region visited by many round-the-world sailors, often heading west from Australia, and this edition concentrates on the most frequented routes and the most popular stops.

There are hundreds of possible anchorages; the most popular are summarised in tables. Introductory sections cover planning, and the last part of the book covers general topics, including provisioning and the problems cruisers often meet.

Elaine Morgan and Stephen Davies first came to the region over 30 years ago, and the guide was surveyed from their own yacht. It is written for yachtsmen but is as relevant to commercial and military mariners.
