Marinas, Harbours and Anchorages of the Maghreb

Fifth edition with updated and extended harbour plans, new photographs and current formalities for ports on the North African coast.

An RCC Pilotage Foundation guide to the marinas, harbours and anchorages of North Africa, for yachts overwintering there or on passage across the Mediterranean or down the Atlantic coast. Introductory sections cover subjects specific to the region, including the formalities, now modernised in most ports.

What's in this edition

Di Stoddard has worked with Graham Hutt on this fifth edition. New harbours have opened in several places and facilities have improved. The Imray harbour plans have been updated and extended to reflect the changes, and there are many new photographs.

About the authors

Graham Hutt first visited North Africa more than fifty years ago and has since sailed its coast extensively in yachts from a 29ft Stella to a 65ft schooner. His enthusiasm for the Arab countries of the Maghreb helped open the region to cruising sailors.

About the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation

Imray has worked with the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation since 1985. The Foundation is a charity which collects and researches pilotage, navigation and weather information for small boats, including from remote areas where other sources are scarce or non-existent. Imray draws the cartography and produces each book from the Foundation's researched and edited material.

About Imray

Imray has been publishing nautical information for recreational and professional mariners since the mid-18th century. Today it is part of FB Imray, a joint venture with the Austrian cartographers freytag & berndt. Imray is recognised by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency as a chart producer, and publishes pilot books, cruising guides, almanacs and navigation handbooks alongside its charts.
