Gibraltar to the French Border
Second edition with over 100 aerial photographs of the coast and harbour approaches, revised text and new and updated plans.
The second edition of this Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation guide covers the whole Mediterranean mainland coast of Spain, from Gibraltar and La Línea to the French border.
The coast includes the mountain-backed Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca, the lagoon of the Mar Menor, the low-lying Ebro delta and the rugged Costa Brava, with the cities of Málaga, Valencia, Tarragona and Barcelona between them. Used with Imray charts of the same coast, it is for boats based in Spain, those on passage to the eastern Mediterranean or the Balearics, and those exploring the coast and its hinterland.
What's in this edition
The text has been revised, new plans added and others updated from the latest information. Over 100 aerial photographs of the coastline and harbour approaches have been added.
About the author
Steve Pickard first visited South Biscay and Mediterranean Spain on a yacht delivery in 1976. He joined the Pilotage Foundation in 2009 and later circumnavigated Spain to survey the coast from Galicia to the Gironde, on a voyage from Gibraltar to Cowes. He died in early 2024.
About the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation
Imray has worked with the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation since 1985. The Foundation is a charity that collects and researches pilotage, navigation and weather information for small boats, including for remote areas where other sources are scarce. Imray draws the cartography and produces the books.
About Imray
Imray has published nautical information for recreational and professional mariners since the mid-18th century. It is now part of FB Imray, a joint venture with the Austrian cartographers freytag & berndt, and is recognised by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency as a chart producer.
