The Pyrenees to Italy, plus Corsica
Harbours, anchorages and pilotage for Mediterranean France and Corsica, with new aerial photographs from the authors' 2016 research.
A pilot for the Mediterranean coast of France from Spain and the edge of the Pyrenees to the Alpes Maritimes and Italy. It covers Languedoc-Roussillon, the Golfe du Lion, the Rhône delta and the Camargue, the industrial Golfe de Fos, the Côte d'Azur, the French Riviera and Monaco. Corsica, and the waterways behind the coast linking the Canal du Midi and the étangs to the Rhône, have chapters of their own.
What's in this edition
This 2017 edition contains substantial changes. The authors spent the summer and autumn of 2016 cruising Corsica and then across to the Golfe de Fos, visiting a large number of harbours and anchorages to collect new information and photographs. There are new aerial photographs for many places, in particular the ports and harbours of Languedoc-Roussillon.
Praise for Mediterranean France & Corsica Pilot
“A new Mediterranean France pilot from Rod and Lu Heikell is now available from Imray and, needless to say, if you have not got one and plan to cruise this coast and inevitably Corsica, then rush out and buy it!”
– Royal Cruising Club
About the authors
Rod and Lucinda Heikell write pilots to the coasts and islands of the Mediterranean. Rod has cruised these waters for nearly 40 years; he met Lu in 1999 when she joined him as crew from the Azores to Gibraltar. They live on the Isle of Wight when not aboard Skylax, their 46ft Warwick-designed New Zealand boat.
Their other Imray books include Greek Waters Pilot, Italian Waters Pilot, Turkish Waters and Cyprus Pilot, Ionian, West Aegean and East Aegean, and they edit The Mediterranean Almanac.
