Mull of Kintyre to Ardnamurchan

Revised harbour and marina information, updated plans and new photographs for Scotland’s west coast, updated by Geoff Crowley.

This Clyde Cruising Club guide covers the west coast of Scotland from the Mull of Kintyre north to the Ardnamurchan peninsula.

Close to the main harbours and marinas are many lochs, islands and anchorages. Some are easy to find; others are reached through intricate channels using the transits described, or lie beyond turbulent tidal sounds.

What’s in this edition

This new edition has been updated by Geoff Crowley. Harbour and marina information has been revised, plans have been updated throughout, and new photographs help identify key navigational features. It includes references to Bob Bradfield’s Antares large-scale charts. Supplements can be downloaded from the club’s website.

About the Clyde Cruising Club

The Clyde Cruising Club has published Sailing Directions for Scottish waters since 1909, first as the Blue Book and since 1974 as a series of regional volumes. Since 2011 these have been merged with Martin Lawrence’s Yachtsman’s Pilot series (Imray), with editorial control remaining with the club.

About Imray

Imray has published nautical information for recreational and professional mariners since the mid-18th century. It is now part of FB Imray, a joint venture with the Austrian cartographers freytag & berndt, and is recognised by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency as a chart producer.
