Liguria to Malta in One Volume
The Ligurian and Tyrrhenian coasts, Sardinia, Sicily, the Ionian heel and Malta, with updated marina information and marine reserve rules.
Italian Waters Pilot covers the coasts of the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian Seas, Sardinia, Sicily, the Ionian 'heel' and Malta in one volume, for yachts cruising Italy or on passage between the eastern and western Mediterranean. It is recommended by the Royal Cruising Club and the Cruising Association.
What's in this edition
The eleventh edition has been revised throughout, including contact details, plans and text. Marina developments have been researched and, where available, proposed changes and extensions to yacht harbours are given. Marine reserves are an important feature of the coasts and islands, particularly around Sardinia and Sicily, and the latest regulations are included. There is also a section on how climate change might affect sailing in the Mediterranean.
About the authors
Rod Heikell has spent nearly 40 years cruising the Mediterranean. He met Lucinda on a passage from the Azores to Gibraltar in 1999, when she joined him as crew, and they have worked on books together for over twenty years. When not aboard Skylax, their 46-foot Warwick-designed New Zealand boat, they live on the Isle of Wight.
Their Imray titles include Greek Waters Pilot, Turkish Waters and Cyprus Pilot, Mediterranean France and Corsica Pilot, Ionian, West Aegean, East Aegean and The Mediterranean Almanac, which they edit.
