Completely Rewritten Seventh Edition

Sailing directions and anchorage information for Scilly, rewritten by a skipper who has holidayed in the islands every summer for 30 years.

An RCC Pilotage Foundation pilot to the Isles of Scilly, 22 nautical miles off the coast of Cornwall. This seventh edition has been researched and completely rewritten by David Hackett, an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore skipper, and gives sailing directions and anchorage information for the islands.

About the author

David Hackett grew up by the sea in Cork and learned to cruise on family holidays in West Cork aboard a converted Baltimore sailing trawler. He first sailed to Scilly as a teenager in 1970 and has taken his family there every summer for the last 30 years, sailing dinghies in and around the islands. He lives near Falmouth and has cruised to and around the islands many times in his own yacht, Pinstripe of Penryn.

About the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation

Imray has worked with the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation since 1985. The Foundation is a charity which collects and researches pilotage, navigation and weather information for small boats, including from remote areas where other sources are scarce or non-existent. Imray draws the cartography and produces each book from the Foundation's researched and edited material.

About Imray

Imray has been publishing nautical information for recreational and professional mariners since the mid-18th century. Today it is part of FB Imray, a joint venture with the Austrian cartographers freytag & berndt. Imray is recognised by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency as a chart producer, and publishes pilot books, cruising guides, almanacs and navigation handbooks alongside its charts.
