Volume 2 of David Edwards-May's Inland Waterways of France covers the 2,500 kilometres of waterways from the northeast – the cross-border rivers Meuse, Moselle, Sarre and Rhine – to the Mediterranean.

The ninth edition is published in paperback in three volumes. The author has investigated the developments of the last 10 years across the French network of navigable rivers and canals, which, with the restoration of historic navigations, now totals 9,000 kilometres. On the busier waterways recreational boats share the water with commercial traffic, but there are many places to moor safely.

This volume has 126 pages in full colour, with detailed maps of 40 key sites, towns and junctions and an overview map of each waterway, alongside practical information, descriptions of places, historical notes and colour photographs.
