The Channel to Burgundy by Waterway

Volume 1 of the ninth edition: 2,700km of waterways in northern and central France, with junction maps, overview maps and route descriptions.

The ninth edition of Inland Waterways of France is a guide for planning cruises on the French waterway network. It is now published in paperback, in three volumes.

This first volume, by David Edwards-May, covers the waterways from the English Channel through northern France, Picardy and Paris to central France and Burgundy: 2,700 kilometres in all, including the new Seine-Nord Europe Canal, under construction and due to be completed by 2028. Recreational traffic is growing alongside commercial traffic on the busier waterways, and Champagne, Burgundy and central France are cruising destinations in their own right.

Its 200 full-colour pages set out the current state of the network, with detailed maps of junctions and other key sites, an overview map for each waterway, route descriptions, historical notes and colour photographs.
