A full-colour guide from Des Pawson featuring practical rope crafts and decorative mats – complete with history, how-to tips and creative inspiration.
Des Pawson's Knot Craft and Rope Mats: 60 Ropework Projects Including 20 Mat Designs is an expanded, full-colour collection of personal ropecraft recipes from one of the world’s leading knot experts. Combining updated material from Des Pawson's Knot Craft with 20 new and brilliant mat designs, this volume is both a reference and an inspiration.
Readers will learn how to make 60 different ropework projects, including mats, bellropes, key fobs, fenders and doorstops. With fascinating titbits of nautical history woven throughout, Des provides step-by-step instructions, advice on materials and measurements, and clear illustrations to guide readers of all abilities through the craft. As Des says, this is “the book that makes all other knot books work”.
