Prepare for MCA Orals
Emergency Preparedness: Life-saving Appliances – Orals Prep Series 4 is a Q&A study guide designed to help deck and technical officers prepare for the STCW oral examination through repeated self-testing. This volume focuses on the safe use, carriage and maintenance of SOLAS life-saving appliances (LSA) on board international ships and superyachts.
Topics include the provision, stowage, deployment and inspection of survival craft, personal survival equipment, required drills and training routines, as well as inspection and maintenance duties under SOLAS Chapter III and the LSA Code. These are core knowledge areas for ensuring shipboard compliance and safety under STCW A/II and A/III requirements.
This fourth volume builds on the earlier titles in the Orals Prep Series and supports officers in delivering clear, compliant answers during oral assessments.
