About the Author

Dr Christopher Lavers is Senior Lecturer in Engineering at the University of Lincoln, based at Britannia Royal Naval College. He has taught maritime and earth observation subjects since 1993 and is recognised as a subject matter expert in radar and telecommunications. The author of over 200 technical articles and several books, he has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Material World and has been Visiting Research Fellow at the Changing Character of Warfare Centre, Pembroke College, Oxford. His work combines deep academic expertise with practical engineering insight.
