This Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation guide succeeds Brian Navin’s cruising guide to the area. It covers the exposed North Sea coasts and the more sheltered Baltic coasts of Germany and Denmark. Where the earlier guide followed particular routes, this one gives a full sequence of ports and anchorages along each stretch of coast, with notes on places to visit ashore.

Nicholas Hill cruised the region for many years and has added new photographs throughout. The plans include up-to-date hydrographic data for German and Danish waters.

It is written for yachts exploring the shifting North Sea coast and the inlets and archipelagos at the entrance to the Baltic, and is also useful on a direct passage through to the Baltic Sea.

About the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation

Imray has worked with the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation since 1985. The Foundation is a charity that collects and researches pilotage, navigation and weather information for small craft, including from remote areas where other sources are scarce or non-existent. Imray draws the cartography, often from very little official survey data, and produces the book.
