Liverpool to Aberdovey

Spiral-bound tenth edition with the author’s chart graphics, Google Earth aerial views and nearly 100 original photographs.

Ralph Morris’s guide to Anglesey and the North Wales coast was first published over 30 years ago, when it covered little more than the island. It now gives tides, dangers, harbours and anchorages from Liverpool (marina) to Aberdovey, the same waters as Imray’s 2700 chart pack, with the author’s own chart graphics.

This tenth edition is fully updated, spiral-bound for use in the cockpit and in full colour, with chart graphics, aerial views (from Google Earth) and nearly 100 original photographs. It records the destruction of Holyhead Marina by Storm Emma in March 2018.

Ralph Morris learned his way around Anglesey in a day boat with a single chart and a compass that failed one day in fog. He wrote this pilot mainly because Henry Glazebrook’s Anglesey & North Wales Coast Pilot, which had got him out of many tight corners, was becoming hard to find, and he hopes to keep its detail and precision available to everyone sailing these waters.

About Imray

Imray has published nautical information for recreational and professional mariners since the mid-18th century. It is now part of FB Imray, a joint venture with the Austrian cartographers freytag & berndt, and is recognised by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency as a chart producer.
