Sharpen Your Chartwork Skills with this Realistic Training Chart

Prepared by the UK Hydrographic Office specifically for RYA training, this is a large-format chart of a fictitious northern hemisphere coastline. Its imaginary geography — complete with depth soundings, tidal diamonds, lighthouse characteristics, buoys and navigational aids — provides a realistic practice environment without the risk of marking up a real chart.

Use it to practise plotting and measuring courses, working compass errors, calculating tidal heights and streams, taking and transferring position lines, and all the other chartwork skills covered in RYA shore-based navigation courses. Because the coastline is entirely fictitious, the same exercises can be repeated without spoiling the chart.

Follows northern hemisphere conventions including IALA Region A buoyage. Suitable for use alongside any standard RYA navigation coursebook.
