About Imray-Iolaire Caribbean Charts
Imray-Iolaire Caribbean charts cover the Eastern Caribbean, from Puerto Rico through the Virgin Islands, Leeward and Windward Islands, to Trinidad and the Venezuelan coast. They combine official survey data with first-hand information gathered over 60 years of research by Don Street Jr and his wide network of contributors. The result is coverage that goes beyond standard hydrographic charts, including anchorages, facilities and inlets that don't appear elsewhere. Charts are printed digitally on Pretex, a synthetic paper that handles spray and humid conditions. They're supplied folded to A4 and packed in a durable plastic wallet. If you need unfolded charts, just get in touch. We can arrange that with a 7-10 day lead time.
All charts use WGS 84 datum and metric depths, making them compatible with GPS navigation systems. Imray publishes other chart ranges for different waters: C Series for Britain, Ireland and Northwest Europe, M Series for the Mediterranean, G for Greek and Turkish waters, E for the Atlantic Islands, and Y for UK harbours and estuaries.
About Imray
Imray has been publishing nautical information for recreational and professional mariners since the mid-18th century. Originally a family business, the company retains continuity through generations of maritime knowledge. Today, Imray is part of FB Imray, a joint venture with freytag & berndt (Austrian cartographic specialists). This has allowed them to combine traditional expertise with modern production methods.
Imray is recognised by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency as a chart producer. Their portfolio extends beyond paper charts to include pilot books, cruising guides, almanacs, and navigation handbooks.
